For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
There is another parade it is the coming of Jesus in his glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is the anticipation of the return of Jesus Christ. When he was with his disciples, they talked and walked with him and ate and visited and were taught how this Christ fulfilled all the Old Testament prophecies there was more yet to come. It would come in the return of Jesus to Earth and reign in the Millennium Kingdom. After that in the realms of glory there is another parade described.
The prophecies tell us there will be great suffering before this parade as well. Just as Jesus knew what was ahead, so it is with believers while we are on this earth and things will get worse. But take heart He won, and He is coming again.
This parade will begin with a trumpet sound. The announcement of the return of Christ will bring with him all those who are angelic beings and those who are dead saints from our view, but the Bible says never died they were translated into glory and are now in the presence of King Jesus.
Like a king who is leading the parade is Jesus Christ. His accomplishments are announced to highlight why Jesus is so honored. Jesus was made a little lower than the angels. It is praiseworthy to think that Jesus would humble himself to the place of becoming in human form, even as a baby. In his human form he did not have the advantages that angels had because he was restricted for 33 years in a human body. Now, however, our commander in Chief has won the victory by his humble sacrifice on the cross. Now he is crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death. The reason He receives the heroes welcome is that He was the very one who suffered by the grace of God that we might not be under the dictatorship of Satan. We are not burdened by Satan's control and doomed to death and destruction. Jesus did the battle for us by going to the cross and dying for sins.
John the Apostle writes, “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"
